The Digest in Nottinghamshire

Disco for adults with learning disabilities launched in Nottinghamshire

Get ready for a Monday night dance in Hucknall at the Liberal Club on West Street! The event was set up by Lesley Commander, Jan Lees and former town councillor Kevin Rostance due to the town not having anything like this for adults with learning difficulties. The event takes place every Monday from 19:00 - 21:00 and is £2.50 to attend, with proceeds going back into future events. Find out more about this amazing effort here. Bravo to everyone involved!
Special thanks to Jan Lees for contacting us and letting us know about this story!

Notts Bus on Demand

A game-changer is coming to more villages, between Bingham and Newark this Monday! Nottsbus On Demand: Already revving its engines in North and South Ollerton, Mansfield, and West Rushcliffe, this flexible bus service is expanding to the South Newark Zone. Whether you're heading to Bingham Market Place, Newark Bus Station, or even Castle train station, Nottsbus On Demand has got you covered. Check here to see if this is available in your area! Download the Nottsbus On Demand app to book between 9:30 and 14:30, Monday to Saturday.

Business Spotlight

This week, our business spotlight shines on The A World UK CIC, which aims to support the autistic community by advocating for acceptance and inclusion while raising awareness. Recently, Mansfield Four Seasons Shopping Centre opened a store where you can conveniently drop off your pre-loved items, including clothes, toys, jewellery, shoes, and kitchenware. The shop in Mansfield is brimming with delightful items and staffed by friendly faces.

The A World UK CIC provides memberships offering funded services such as holidays and horse riding, along with perks like priority event booking and effortless access.

The Mansfield shop is open Monday - Saturday 9:00 - 16:30 and Sunday 10:00 - 16:00. I am sure they will love to see new faces, and everything goes towards a great cause, close to many people’s hearts.
