The Nottingham Puppet Festival, a collaboration between the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall and City Arts Nottingham, returns for its third edition in 2024. This festival celebrates the art of puppetry with creativity and flair. The event is running from April 9th until April 21st and there is loads to do! Samsung Kickflips into Nottingham

The Digest in Nottinghamshire

On May 4th, in an event organized by the Students' Union at Nottingham University, six teams will compete in a hockey tournament in memory of Grace O’Malley-Kumar at the Nottingham Hockey Centre. Her younger brother, James, has established a charity in her honour, The Grace O’Malley-Kumar Foundation. The foundation’s motto is ‘Be more like Grace’ and aims to support students in their sports and academic pursuits

A rescue centre in Nottinghamshire has received numerous offers to rehome a litter of puppies discovered abandoned in the woods, near Mansfield Woodhouse. The Mansfield Wildlife Rescue stepped in to care for eight puppies found on Wednesday.

Nottingham's first new river crossing over the Trent in decades is set to become reality, as public support outweighs concerns over parking and antisocial behaviour. The proposed 87-meter-long 'Waterside Bridge' linking Trent Basin to Lady Bay in Rushcliffe has gained momentum, with council officers recommending its £12m funding from the Department for Transport’s Transforming Cities Fund.
