Nottingham City Council has been dubbed the worst-performing local authority in the UK. Data from the Office for Local Government, as reported by The Times, evaluates councils on factors like recycling, social care, finance, roads, and planning. The analysis places Nottingham City Council at the bottom overall, ranking poorly in finance, waste management, roads, social care, and planning among 318 councils.

Mansfield District Council and PJA made it to the finals of the 2024 Planning Awards for their work on the Mansfield Design Code. Selected as one of twenty-five 'Pathfinders,' they've been setting the bar high for design standards.
